“Headlines” by Martin Jaye (R&B Artist from Los Angeles, California(CA))

"Headlines" is a soulful, five song r&b/pop EP in support of an upcoming full-length release of the same name from singer/songwriter and Hollywood personality Martin Jaye. Jaye gives a soulful and smooth vocal performance reminiscent of r&b greats like Aaron Neville and Lou Rawls. His songs are original, fresh and filled with lyrics about politics, love, and failed relationships. Along with the wealth of content, the songs are catchy, and you'll find yourself singing along in no time. Jaye also produced the "Headlines" EP himself and the overall sound quality is quite good. "Balance the Budget" opens up the EP with a political track about the state of the economy, unemployment, and Jaye's personal call to "Let the people grow." "Actions Speak Louder Than Words" is a song of heartbreak and being left by your lover that features catchy lyrics and a nice hook. "Headlines" is an overall success, with catchy and poignant songs that leave the listener eagerly anticipating what the full-length effort will have to offer. Fans of top 40 r&b and pop, give Martin Jaye a listen.
