"Living Here" by J.P. Ranger (Rock/Soul Artist from New York City, New York (NY))

Inspired by generations of power house rock and a touch of blues, J. P. Ranger's newest CD "Living Here" is a compilation of artistic style and flair. Vocals are strong with an attitude of sometimes edgy and emotional appeal. The harmonies are sung in a higher register and are perfectly blended as heard on "Mr. Singer" and "America." The relationship between the musicians of this group is noticeably well connected. "Burning Up" gives an example of this great musicianship with a powerful rock guitar solo and tight, solid drum beats. Ranger's lyrics throughout this album are written from the heart and sung with the same conviction. You'll notice a nice change of musical style with a touch of the Blues on the ballad "Blue Moon Dreamer." The entire CD possesses a high quality of production as each song is well balanced between vocals and instruments. If you like the musical styles of Bob Dylan or Eric Clapton you will want to listen to J. P. Ranger's CD "Living Here."

“It'z 'bout Time” by Rhoda Nkojo (R&B/Soul Artist from New York City, New York(NY))

"It'z 'bout Time" by Rhoda Nkojo is an excellent collection of R&B/pop songs. The tight band and excellent recording quality provide an effective backdrop for Rhoda's impressive vocal performances. Many tracks on this CD have a catchy upbeat groove that will have your body moving. "The Sweetest Taboo" is a memorable upbeat R&B tune with a catchy chorus and tight harmonies. Rhoda shows a more emotional side on "Brother," where her tender vocal performance and rich harmonies are nicely set above a beautiful acoustic guitar performance. The vocal talents of this lawyer shine through on this CD. If you're a fan of R&B or pop, we recommend that you give this a listen.

“The EP” by DeZishun & She-Know (R&B artist from New Jersey (NJ))

"The EP" by DeZishun & She-Know is a very lively collection of R&B-pop crossover tunes. The addictive dance beat makes it hard not to move your body to these tracks. Especially memorable are the female vocals on "Lucky Girl" and "Street Pressure." The opening-track, "Let's Party 'Mommie Move Your Body'," flaunts a very addictive musical hook and chorus melody. "Girls Rain" opens with a very eerie, middle-eastern voice melody and makes a smooth transition into a beat driven hip-hop track. Lyrically, these songs are written with care and relevance, tackling issues of love, street life, and growing up. Furthermore, creative production elements bring together the other strong elements of the music into an enjoyable collection of R&B-pop tracks.

"As I Am" by Alicia Keys (R&B/Pop artist from New York (NY))

Gracing the music world with her first release in four years, Alicia Key's latest, "As I Am," delivers an overdose of genuine soul. Backed by very organic musical compositions, Keys shines vocally more in this album than perhaps any other. The very inspirational ballad dubbed "Superwoman" delivers a very loud-and-proud message to all the hard-working, independent women out there. Other stand-out tracks include the stripped-down and sincere "Lesson Learned," the slightly retro "Wreckless Love," and the groovy beat-driven "I Need You."
